Stop Architectural Deforestation!
As part of my Master’s studies at the National University of Singapore, two teammates and I created this short documentary to highlight the alarming pace at which modernist buildings are being demolished in Singapore.
Often dismissed as “ugly,” “run-down,” or “urban blight,” large modernist structures are frequently judged at face value. Many are reluctant to look beyond these labels to recognise their architectural, cultural, and environmental potential. By shifting the conversation toward a broader and more ethical discourse on environmental and social sustainability, this documentary advocates for the preservation of modern built heritage—valued not for subjective aesthetics, but for its enduring contribution to our climate, cities, and collective future.
FEEDback Farmers!
FEEDback Farmers looks at Singapore’s food sustainability through the lens of 3 ordinary individuals. A retired architect, an HDB farming hobbyist and a founder of a local initiative, the short film documents the journey of these individuals and the people around them as they work towards a more sustainable food consumption and production future for Singapore – through establishing a more intimate relationship with the source of our food.
